COMING Winter 2027

This 16 hour weekend class introduces Reiki practitioners, Level 2 and beyond, to protocol, precautions and practice to use sound healing instruments within a Reiki session.   Original intensive curriculum from February 2014 has evolved and includes the latest sound therapy research updated yearly since the prototype ReikiSound class in 2010. Second Sunday Sound Meditations are held at Soundwise Health Studio in Lancaster, Pa. every month.  from 6:00-7:30pm usually on the second Sunday of the month.  We may use the gentle sounds of singing bowls, gongs, crystal tuning forks and pyramids, metal tuning forks, sansula, flute, monochord, indigenous percussion and frame drums, chimes, shruti box, the voice and throughout the year have special feature sound artists using didgeridoo, sitar, hand pan and tone drum, harmonium, kalimba, harp, flute, guitar,  fujara, harmonica or whatever comes our way! Light weaving, prayerful light language, healing energies and reiki are often part of these meditations.  We have limited attendance, and we will continue to respect the health and beliefs of others, inclusive of everyone.  We do not expect people to be uncomfortably close to each other. You may lie down or be seated, whichever is most comfortable for you. 

 Leading the meditations is Lana Ryder, trained and experienced sound practitioner of 27 years, musician, holistic practitioner, former licensed massage therapist for 27 years, reiki master-teacher for 17 years and certified holistic health coach with 50 years' experience in using sound, voice and music for healing, inspiration and transformation both personally and in community.  Lana offers her trained associates, students and mentorees the opportunity to experience assisting in the meditations. Many have gone on to have their own successful practices. Many are also active reiki practitioners. 

Next Group Sound Meditation Immersion (sometimes called "sound bath" but is really much more than that) is Sept. 13 at 6:00 pm. Our beautiful sanctuary of sound is peaceful, uplifting and sometimes people find it to be healing just being there in a number of ways. The deep relaxation certainly supports our immune systems.  We are your premier sound commUNITY in Central Pa. solely dedicated to sharing love through the power of sound. 

Tickets are available through Eventbrite: Lancaster Sound Meditation. We do start on time. Please plan to be in the room ready to start at least 5 minutes before 6:00 PM.  No one will be at the front door to let you in after 5:50 pm. We do have some yoga mats, cushions, eye coverings, and blankets but feel free to bring your own yoga mat, cushion, blanket, pillow, eye covering, closed water bottle or whatever you need to be comfortable lying on the floor.  A few chairs are available for those who need them. This is drug-free event, either before or during. The soundwaves are powerful enough!

Learn how to begin using sound, voice and music in the healing arts. The Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy curriculum is designed to introduce hands-on experience for holistic practitioners such as massage and energy therapists, yoga instructors, acupuncturists, mental health counselors, nurses, and hospice workers to begin using crystal and metal bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, drums/percussion, sansula, kalimba, monochord, shruti box, voice and other instruments. The program is for 8 months.  Write to us for an application at soundwisehealth@aol.com  We are all local teachers who have studied with some of the best sound masters globally who are on the cutting edge of all that is happening in the sound healing field.  They have been studying sound for 40-50 years with masters and doctorate degrees. You don't just learn how to play the instruments, you learn the physics and science of sound healing so that you understand what you are doing and have more confidence in determining a protocol for the people you work with.  We also believe in teaching you how to speak knowledgeably and accurately about therapeutic sound. Our classes are kept smaller so that you get individualized in-person attention and do not have to hear too many sounds all together in one large room which has proven to be detrimental not only to learning but sometimes students in these situations become physically uncomfortable.

Sound Therapy is a vast topic. Soundwise sound classes introduce you to the basic science, principles and suggested protocols for working with a number of instruments. The six-month program gives you the opportunity to learn how to work with a number of instruments If you find you are drawn to one instrument in particular over the others, you have an excellent basis for furthering your studies. Please understand that a weekend class does not make you a sound therapist. And a virtuous practitioner knows there are no shortcuts and is committed to continuing education. There is ongoing updated research in the sound healing field. There are ongoing new studies and research, and we will get you started on the right path so that you have enough information to help you decide in which direction or what specific instruments you wish to pursue in more depth. A diploma from Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy is awarded after the student satisfactorily completes all classes, student practice sessions, assignments and the trauma-informed workshop.  Our classes and programs are updated every year as each of the teachers and the director are in ongoing education learning the newest information from the latest research and documentation from their own teachers as well as exploring what all the new discounted online sound therapy classes are teaching.  If you took a class from us even just a year or two ago, we've added much more.  

Private instruction and mentoring take place in the Soundwise Health Studio in Lancaster.  Schedule is determined by availability of student and instructor, determined by individual needs.

 Frequencies and vibrations are not just about what we listen to.  They are about everything, including what we choose to eat.  A graduate of The Integrative Institute of Nutrition, Sound and Energy Practitioner Lana Ryder shares some tips on choosing more healthy vibe food.   Lana's first studies in holistic medicine and natural living lifestyles began with an herbal medicine class at The Rosemary House in Mechanicsburg, Pa way back in 1969. Her education in holistic health has been ongoing ever since.  

8 hour holistic business class taught by Lana Ryder, former business course instructor at two area massage schools.  Lana wrote the 23 hour business curriculum for these schools based on her experience as founder and director of a successful holistic healing center of 11 years and experience and training as a television and radio account executive and medical practice manager. Lana also appreciates and uses an adaptive version of Sacred Economics principles as taught and practiced by author Charles Eisenstein. 

Helping to birth the new earth, we must begin to let go of the old patriarchal business paradigm of competing and trying to win, against our fellow healers and lightworkers. And everyone really! Look for us- Soundwise Health Associates, LLC -  at this fantastic event in Harrisburg at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  We will be offering  two unique sound sessions:  A mini sound healing session or a full gong immersion, either may  include ReikiSound and ReikiVoice if you like. 

Throughout the day we will be speaking about sound, singing and weaving in light language over people, and offering our signature sound sessions.
